We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team! In this vital role, you will drive the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services essential to our operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency. Your expertise in supply chain management, negotiation and ERP systems will empower you to build strong supplier relationships, analyze market trends and streamline procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure competitive pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules from vendors.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while evaluating performance based on cost, quality and delivery speed.
- Monitor stock levels, analyze sales data to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstock.
- Track consumer trends, competitor pricing and raw material costs to inform buying strategies.
- Work with marketing, sales and warehouse teams to align product availability with promotional campaigns and new launches.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of proven purchasing, buying, or category management experience within the FMCG or retail sector.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills for data reporting, excellent negotiation tactics, and proficiency in ERP/procurement software and MS Excel.
- Ability to analyze market trends and leverage data for strategic sourcing decisions.
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
