We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef/Manager to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional sushi experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and craft a variety of sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency, adhering to traditional techniques and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, quality control, and maintaining food safety protocols
- Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff and servers, fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Uphold all health regulations and safety standards to ensure a clean, safe working environment for staff and customers
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Oversee restaurant service flow during busy hours to ensure prompt delivery of high-quality dishes
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary or restaurant setting, preferably with a focus on Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation
- Strong background in food production, cooking, and kitchen experience with an emphasis on food safety practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative atmosphere
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to sushi and other Japanese dishes
- Experience in hospitality environments with excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
