Roofing Surveyor, Sales & Operations Manager
Roof Class Scotland is looking for an experienced, confident and highly organised Roofing Surveyor, Sales & Operations Manager to join our growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving inspecting and quoting roofing work, securing new jobs, managing ongoing projects, supporting our roofing teams and dealing professionally with customers.
The successful applicant must have strong sales ability and the confidence to manage jobs, customers and day-to-day problems. Along with an ability to handle pressure.
Main Responsibilities
- Visit residential and commercial properties to inspect roofing work.
- Identify roofing problems and recommend suitable repairs or replacement work.
- Measure jobs and prepare accurate quotations.
- Explain the proposed work clearly and confidently to customers.
- Follow up quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed jobs.
- Generate new business and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Manage ongoing jobs from the initial quotation through to completion.
- Monitor the progress and quality of work being carried out.
- Regularly check in on active jobs and make sure everything is running properly.
- Ensure roofing teams have the correct job information, materials and support.
- Deal with problems raised during ongoing jobs and find practical solutions.
- Keep customers updated throughout their projects.
- Handle customer questions, concerns and complaints professionally.
- Visit ongoing and completed jobs when required.
- Communicate clearly between customers, roofing teams, suppliers, the office and management.
- Occasionally collect or deliver materials and supplies.
- Help organise schedules and coordinate upcoming work.
- Identify delays, additional work or other issues and report them promptly.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the office when the Office Manager is unavailable.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to enquiries and assist with paperwork when required.

- Able to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider team.
- Professional and presentable.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
Salary and Earnings
- Guaranteed basic pay of £30,000 per year.
- Commission and performance-related earnings.
- On-target earnings of £60,000 per year.
- The full commission structure will be explained during the interview.
