As an established provider of quality, targeted, tutoring services, APPLA Tuition work with schools, local authorities and families across England to provide friendly, quality tuition that is tailored to the individual needs of our students.
The role offers a unique opportunity for a SEN specialist (EYFS) to join our team in a salaried role with part-time, flexible hours.
We are looking for a tutors to work on a one-to-one basis with students with special educational needs in the Liverpool area. The tutor will provide face to face support with EYFS level activities and schoolwork. The sessions will usually take place in a local centre.
- No requirement to tutor outside of term time
- Ability to complete contracted hours between school drop-off/pick up times
- Flexible scheduling of tutoring hours
Responsibilities
- Lessons are typically 1-3 hours long
- Work is typically allocated in full or half (school) days
- Lessons usually take place on site, so you will be expected to travel
- Dynamic planning of sessions to meet individual needs of students with EHCP
- Working with students seeking support with EYFS activities and schoolwork
- Understanding and compliance with Safeguarding policy
Requirements:
- Available 5 days per week [during term time] (Mon-Fri) for at least 3 hours on each day
- Available for 25 hours per week [during term time], flexible (between 8-4pm) start/finish
- Must have EYFS experience.
- Experience working with disadvantaged students/students with special educational needs
- Must be personable
- Have a professional nature
- Be qualified to at least GCSE English/Maths (C/4+)
- No formal teaching qualification necessary
- Tutoring experience preferred but training will be provided
- Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) enhanced with child barred list check, which is free from any convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (required)
