The Role
This is not simply a fitting role.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced installer who can confidently manage installations, represent the company professionally and help maintain the high standards our customers expect.
The successful candidate will primarily carry out the installation of windows, doors and glazing products throughout Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. There may also be occasions where support is required within our glazing operation, including replacement glazing works and assisting with double glazed unit production during busy periods.
We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to become an important part of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of uPVC windows and doors
- Installation of composite doors
- Installation of aluminium glazing products
- Replacement of double glazed units
- Repair and replacement glazing works
- Managing installations on site
- Maintaining excellent workmanship standards
- Ensuring jobs are completed safely and efficiently
- Identifying and resolving installation issues
- Liaising professionally with customers and site personnel
- Assisting with glazing and factory operations when required
- Helping maintain a positive and professional team culture
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience installing windows and doors
- Strong glazing knowledge and practical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs effectively
- High attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Professional customer-facing manner
- Full UK driving licence
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desirable
- Double glazed unit replacement experience
- General glazing repair experience
- Experience supervising jobs or leading small teams
- Valid CSCS card
Training can be provided for the right candidate where required, including CSCS certification.
