Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, attentive service to all customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Prepare and serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including basic cooking, assembling dishes, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
- Manage cash register operations, process transactions accurately, and handle customer payments with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area and kitchen workspace
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Follow all food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and hygiene practices
- Support kitchen operations during busy periods by assisting with food prep and plating as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while managing multiple tasks effectively through excellent time management skills
Experience
- Previous restaurant or café experience is highly preferred, especially in fast-paced environments
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles demonstrating familiarity with kitchen procedures
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for hygiene and sanitation
- Strong serving skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Kitchen experience that includes food prep, cooking techniques, or culinary tasks is advantageous
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
