Overview:
We are seeking a Lunch Assistant to join our team Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1.30pm to provide support during lunchtime at our nursery. The successful candidate will assist our practitioners in ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children during their lunch time.
Duties:
- Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Prepare children's snack
- Assist children with special dietary needs, including those with allergies
- Engage and communicate effectively with staff and children to create a positive lunchtime experience
- Mentor and educate children on appropriate behaviour and social skills
- Support children with various tasks helping to build their independence.
- Maintain clean and tidy food areas.
- Help serve children’s lunches
- Assist/supervise the children over the lunch period
- Help clear tables and chairs after use.
- Ensure all dishes are collected and washed and restocked.
Experience:
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with young people
