Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Logistics and Distribution Operative to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, handling materials, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your proactive approach will help us maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity across our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload deliveries using plant and manual handling techniques
- Manage stock levels through accurate picking, packing, and stock replenishment
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
- Handle materials with mechanical knowledge to ensure proper storage and handling
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation compliance
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely deliveries
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain organized storage areas
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a solid understanding of stock management procedures
- Experience Lifting and Protecting Glass Units
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Experience in materials handling, picking & packing, shipping & receiving
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous for understanding product specifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
