Angel and Star Care Services is looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Live-In Support Worker to join our dedicated care team in Manchester.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred support to an individual in their own home, promoting their dignity, independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
About the Role
As a Live-In Support Worker, you will live in the person's home and provide support with their day-to-day needs. You will be expected to develop a positive professional relationship with the person you support while maintaining appropriate boundaries and respecting their privacy, choices and independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred care and support.
- Supporting with personal care where required.
- Assisting with daily living activities.
- Supporting nutrition and hydration.
- Supporting medication in accordance with the person's care plan and your training.
- Supporting mobility and safe transfers where required.
- Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities.
- Supporting appointments and community activities where required.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable living environment.
- Completing accurate daily care records and reporting any concerns.
- Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Communicating effectively with management and other members of the care team.
- Recognising and reporting changes in the person's health or wellbeing.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Female, with the requirement being justified by the specific needs and preferences of the person receiving support.
- Caring, compassionate and patient.
- Reliable and responsible.
- Respectful of people's dignity, privacy and choices.
- Able to work independently and use initiative.
- Confident communicating with service users, families and professionals.
- Able to maintain professional boundaries.
- Flexible and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Previous experience in health and social care is desirable.
- Live-in care experience is desirable but not essential if you have the right attitude and transferable skills.
Essential Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to complete our standard recruitment and compliance checks, including:
