Welfare Reform Adviser – Part-Time
Fixed-Term Contract until 31 March 2027, with possible extension
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Welfare Reform Adviser to join our team.
The Role
The Welfare Reform Adviser will provide a high-quality, professional in-house advice service to clients. The successful candidate will provide advice, guidance and support to clients seeking assistance with Welfare Reform and changes to Social Security benefits.
The role will also involve supporting and representing clients at Independent Tribunal Appeals, ensuring that clients receive appropriate advice and advocacy throughout the appeals process.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
- At least two year’s experience advising on Social Security benefits.
- A Community Advisor Training Programme qualification or Law Centre NI WRAP qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to provide high-quality, client-focused advice and support.
- An understanding of Welfare Reform and the Social Security benefits system.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Trainees
Trainees may be considered where they can demonstrate relevant experience, skills and a commitment to developing their knowledge and expertise in Welfare Reform advice.
Contract
Part-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2027, with possible extension.
