Come and join us from March - October 2027 for an exciting summer of adventure. We are looking for highly motivated, caring staff to provide fantastic outdoor experiences for groups of young people visiting our activity centre . This would be ideal for those with some experience in the outdoor industry or those who wish to move on from a current activity apprenticeship scheme and gain valuable NGB qualification with great pay for work over the summer
Onsite accommodation may be available if required.
Role
You will be delivering a wide range of outdoor activities to children and adults. We work with school groups, youth groups, families and individuals. An approachable, pleasant and caring personality is essential in providing the quality experiences our clients expect. We are a small centre and all our staff are a major part of our team, we are all actively involved in all aspects of our centre operations our priority is providing the best experience possible for our clients. The ideal candidate will have the motivation to support us in this.

It is a good idea to visit our website but we deliver a large range of outdoor activities including abseiling, climbing, kayaking, canoeing , sit on top kayaks, stand up paddle boards, sailing, power boat driving, orienteering, night line, high ropes course, assault course, bushcraft, zip line, archery , target shooting, crossbow shooting, axe throwing.
Training
For staff who do not have previous qualifications we run pre season training to include
ERCA High ropes instructor, ERCA high ropes rescue, British Canoeing Paddlesports safety and Rescue, Level 2 First Aid in the Outdoors, Level 2 Food Hygeine, British Canoeing Paddlesports Instructor, RYA power Boat Level 2, 1RLSS NWSMP life saving, plus other inhouse training
We recognise that many applicants have may have previous experience so we will help you develop your skill set where this supports the centre operations.
Prerequisites
Min age 18 years
All applicants will need to undergo a DBS/police check
Must be able supply 2 , ideally 3 good character references,.
To deliver some activities you need to be able to swim in open water
Must be fit and healthy at a level tosafetly support our clients in a wide raneg of outdoor environments
Must be happy working in the outdoor environment
Non smokers preferred
