Overview
Watermead Rose care Home are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistants to join their team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in our care.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure that each resident receives personalised support tailored to their needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on residents’ conditions and any changes in their care requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in residents’ health status.
- Support residents in engaging with social activities and promote their independence where possible.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.
- A level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with residents and team members effectively.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using electronic systems.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
