Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roof Specialist to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems across various projects. Duties
- Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair processes
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery to construct and repair roofing systems
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, insulation, and other roofing components safely and efficiently
- Execute roofing installations using proper techniques to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity
- Conduct maintenance inspections on existing roofs to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities on-site
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all phases of work to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to roofing systems
- Strong welding skills for metal roof fabrication and repairs
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment used in roofing projects
- Solid background in construction, including roofing installation, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, membranes, and insulation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
- Basic plumbing and masonry skills beneficial for integrated building projects
- Excellent carpentry skills for framing and structural adjustments as needed
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques for custom roofing components
