Community Engagement Officer
Beaconsfield & surrounding areas
Part-time or Full-time | Up to 37.5 hours per week
Salary from £25,000 FTE, pro rata, depending on experience + performance-related bonus
Could you use your sales and relationship-building skills to make a real difference in your local community?
Eximius Live-In Care is looking for an empathetic, confident and commercially minded Community Engagement Officer to help us build meaningful relationships across Beaconsfield and the surrounding areas.
This is not a traditional care role, and you do not need previous experience within the care sector.
We're looking for someone who brings a strong background in sales, business development, account management, marketing or relationship building, but who also has the warmth, empathy and emotional intelligence to understand the people and families our services support.
You'll be out in the local community representing Eximius, meeting people, building professional relationships and developing a strong network of contacts and referral partners.
What you'll be doing
You'll become a visible and trusted representative of Eximius within the local community. Your role will include:
- Building relationships with local businesses, professionals, community organisations and potential referral partners.
- Attending networking meetings, business events and community events.
- Proactively identifying new contacts, partnerships and referral opportunities.
- Developing relationships with professionals and organisations connected to the local care sector.
- Raising awareness of Eximius and the services we provide.
- Following up new contacts and turning introductions into meaningful, long-term relationships.
- Organising community and networking initiatives, including quarterly coffee meetings and one larger annual event.
- Supporting local marketing and promotional activity.
- Once established in the role, supporting the wider team with selected national marketing campaigns, events and promotional activity.
- Working towards agreed KPIs focused on relationships, referrals, partnerships and business-development outcomes.
Who we're looking for
Your previous job title isn't particularly important to us. You could currently be working in sales, business development, account management, marketing, recruitment, hospitality, professional services or another relationship-led environment.
What matters is that you're someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys meeting and talking to people.
- Has strong sales and business-development instincts without being overly sales-driven in their approach.
- Is warm, empathetic and able to build trust with people from different backgrounds.
- Is confident walking into a networking event and starting conversations.
- Can build relationships from scratch and maintain them over time.
- Is proactive and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
- Understands how to represent a business professionally and inclusively within the community.
- Is organised and follows through on introductions, conversations and opportunities.
- Is comfortable working independently and managing a flexible diary.
- Is willing to learn about the care sector and develop relationships with local professionals and organisations within it.
Previous care experience is not required. We'll support you in developing your knowledge of Eximius, our services and the care sector.
Where you'll work
The role will be based around Beaconsfield and the surrounding communities, including but not limited to Gerrards Cross, the Chalfonts, Amersham, Bourne End, Marlow and neighbouring areas.
This isn't a role where you'll spend every day behind a desk. You'll be out daily meeting people, attending events, networking and representing Eximius in the community.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for business use is essential. The formal role also requires regular travel throughout these local areas.
Hours & flexibility
We're open to both part-time and full-time applicants, up to 37.5 hours per week.
There is flexibility around how the hours are worked because we want the successful person to be available for the networking and community opportunities that matter. Some evening and occasional weekend work will therefore be required.
Salary & reward
Salary from £25,000 FTE, pro rata for part-time hours, depending on experience.
We also envisage a strong performance-related bonus opportunity, linked to agreed KPIs and meaningful outcomes such as developing referral relationships, partnerships and new business opportunities.
Why Eximius?
At Eximius, relationships are at the heart of what we do.
For this role, we're not necessarily looking for someone who already knows the care industry. We're looking for the right person.
Someone commercially minded but compassionate. Someone who understands sales but also understands people. Someone who can open doors, build trust and become a genuine ambassador for Eximius within our local community.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: From £25,540.00 per year
Work Location: In person
