Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the hospitality industry while working in a lively and welcoming environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide excellent guest service by attending to customer needs promptly and courteously
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Follow food safety standards and health regulations at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
