Salary: £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience
For over 40 years, HMK has provided automation, motion control and engineering solutions to machine builders across the UK. We are recognised for our technical expertise, practical approach and long-standing customer relationships.
We are looking for a Graduate or Junior Mechatronic Applications Engineer to join our team in Congleton. This role would suit a recent graduate, apprentice-trained engineer, HNC/HND holder, or someone with relevant industry experience who is looking to develop their career in industrial automation and machine engineering.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will support the specification, development and implementation of automation, motion control and machine solutions across a wide range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with the specification and selection of automation and motion control products.
- Provide technical support to customers and colleagues.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving engineering challenges.
- Work closely with suppliers and customers to deliver effective engineering solutions and product selections.
What We're Looking For
- Strong practical and theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to apply mechanical engineering principles to real-world applications
- A genuine passion for engineering and how things work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one.
Desirable
- Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience with machinery, mechanisms, automation systems, CAD, PLCs, robotics or control systems.
- Manufacturing, maintenance or machine-building experience.
