Purpose: The purpose of the Bar Staff’s role is to provide excellent customer service when preparing and serving drinks. Your role is key to supporting the success of the bar, by working closely with the wider team to enhance the customer experience.
The following duties are not an exhaustive list of duties and may be subject to change depending on the needs of the Group.
Key Duties
1. Prepare and serve drinks – always ensuring quality
2. Keep the bar area clean (work surfaces, glasses, equipment etc)
3. Ensure stock levels are monitored and replenished as required
4. Develop your bartending and cocktail making skills
5. Use your creativity to create new cocktails that will take our cocktail bar to the next level
6. Handle cash and card payments from customers
7. Assist in cleaning the bar area and venue at the end of your shift
8. Assist in other areas of the venue as required and instructed by your manager
9. Ensure all customers have a positive experience when visiting our bar and work closely with the wider team
10. Report any complaints from customers to your manager
Health and Safety
· Ensure all areas are maintained in a clean, hygienic and safe condition, in accordance with Food Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act
· Ensure that all accidents/incidents are reported to your supervisor
Ensure the responsible service of alcohol (more details on serving alcohol can be found in the employee handbook if successful)
Ideally successful candidates will have 1-2 years bar experience.
Shifts will be mostly weekends - Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Rate of pay will be in line with guidance for minimum wage according to age.
