We’re looking for experienced Electricians to deliver commercial and industrial installations across the UK. You’ll work with experienced site managers, have the support to do your job properly and opportunities to take on more responsibility as you develop.
Your basic salary is £37,500–£41,500, with door-to-door travel paid on top and overtime available to increase your earnings.
The role
You’ll carry out electrical installations from first fix through to testing and commissioning, working closely with site management and other trades to deliver safe, high-quality work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing containment, wiring, lighting, distribution boards and final terminations.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Testing and commissioning installations in line with BS 7671.
- Supporting and supervising mates and apprentices.
- Coordinating your work with other trades and the site programme.
- Following risk assessments, method statements and site safety procedures.
- Checking completed work, resolving snags and maintaining a high standard of finish.
Opportunities to progress
For Electricians ready to take the next step, there is a pathway to Senior Electrician.
This can include leading electrical packages, supervising small teams, planning work and supporting Project Managers with project delivery. Progression is based on your technical ability, reliability and leadership, with scope to increase your responsibility and earning potential.
What you’ll need
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and a completed recognised apprenticeship.
- A valid ECS Gold Card.
- Proven commercial or industrial electrical installation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and the 18th Edition requirements.
- Ability to read drawings and work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Confidence supporting mates and apprentices.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
- A reliable, organised approach and pride in your workmanship.
IPAF and PASMA would be an advantage but are not essential.
