Level 3 Early Years Educator
Job Description- Must be able to work 8am until 6pm
Job Purpose
To support the provision of a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5. To assist in delivering high-quality early education and childcare in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), while working as part of a team to meet the individual needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities
1. Child Care and Development
· Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS.
· Observe, assess and record children’s progress, identifying next steps and updating learning journeys.
· Promote children’s independence, confidence and social skills through play-based learning.
· Support the physical, emotional and educational needs of all children, including those with additional needs.
· Encourage positive behaviour and act as a role model for children and trainees at all times.
2. Safeguarding and Welfare
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children by following safeguarding procedures.
· Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment indoors and outdoors.
· Carry out daily risk assessments and respond appropriately to concerns.
· Administer first aid when required.
3. Working with Families
· Engage positively with parents and carers, sharing information about their child’s day and development.
· Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when discussing children and families.
4. Teamwork
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to support all the children the setting.
· Attend team meetings, training sessions, and contribute ideas to daily planning.
Pay: £25,500.00-£26,500.00 per year
