Assembly/Trainee Technician
We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented individual required to learn or build on core engineering/manufacturing skills, able to multi-task whilst driving workflow efficiently to required deadlines. Performing the essential final operations prior to the customers receipt of complex finish machined parts.
Working alongside our highly experienced team leader, you will be learning and performing the following:
· Deburring finished parts to a high specification using manual methods, hand tools and ECD (Electro Chemical Deburring) Anatronic machine.
· Fitting and assembling associated parts using the BOM, technical drawings and customer specifications
· Building of parts with test blocks, ready for, and performing pressure testing to customer specs and drawings, generating customer reports.
· Cleaning, inspecting and packing parts with the use of cleaning tanks, cranes and lifting equipment in readiness
· Possibility of NDT and welding training for support of the facility and other departments.
Applications are welcome from interested parties with the following:
· Engineering/Manufacturing experience or training
· Maths grade C/ Grade 4
· Highly organised and excellent time management
· Problem solving ability
· Keen eye for detail
· Methodical mind-set
· Willingness to learn new and challenging skills.
· Ability to safely carry out heavy lifting.
Desirable:
· Ability to read engineering drawings
· Pressure testing experience
· Previous use of hand tools, deburring equipment, ECD machine
· Previous use of cranes/lifting/manual handling equipment
· Knowledge of BOM’s and part traceability
· NDT experience
· Welding experience
· PC Literate
Hours & Remuneration:
Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-12:00 (39 hours per week)
£12.83 per hour, plus overtime, plus profit share.
