We are a thriving childcare setting in the heart of Ledbury at The Hive. The Pre-School is committee run and a registered charity. We value the importance of play, particularly outdoor play and learning which is at the heart of what we do. We are very fortunate to have a Forest School garden where our children have the opportunity to use tools and toast marshmallows on camp fires! All children are treated as 'Unique' and activities are planned according to children's interests, preferences, learning styles and development.
Due to a rise in the intake of children at our popular provision; we are looking to employ a motivated, committed and enthusiastic team player on a part time basis.
Who are we looking for?
The successful applicant will be involved in planning and supervising play and setting up activities indoors and outdoors as part of a small team. They will also be responsible for a group of key children and be required to plan, observe and promote children's development through engaging activities. It is necessary for applicants to hold a relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 plus previous experience of working at an Early Years setting. Applicants will have an outstanding knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), play and child development and demonstrate this in practice. A sound understanding of safeguarding is essential. Applicants are required to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written enabling them to engage effectively with other staff, parents and professionals. Experience with using online Learning Journey systems would be advantageous.
