Employment Status: Permanent (40 Hours per Week)

Job Purpose
Under the guidance of senior staff, undertake administrative and organisational processes that support the effective operation of the school and whole business approach. The school caters for children and young people aged 11–16 with a range of ALN, SEBD and SEN. Assist with the planning and development of support services.

● Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school and whole business approach.
● Establish constructive relationships and communicate effectively with external agencies and professionals.
● Attend and actively participate in meetings.
● Participate in training, learning activities and performance development as required.
● Recognise personal strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support colleagues.
Detailed Task Profile
Organisation
● Manage reception duties and welcome visitors during opening hours.
● Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems, procedures and policies.
● Arrange and coordinate school trips, events and meetings.
● Coordinate and support staff professional development activities where appropriate.
Administration
● Manage manual and computerised record and information systems.
● Analyse and evaluate information and produce reports as required.
● Undertake typing, word processing and IT-based tasks.
● Provide administrative and organisational support to staff and the Management Board.
● Administer school procedures and complete statutory returns and documentation.
Resources
● Monitor and manage stock levels within agreed budgets.
● Provide advice and guidance to staff, pupils and visitors.
● Undertake research to support informed decision-making.
● Support the marketing and promotion of the school and whole business approach.
● Manage the administration of school facilities and expenditure within agreed budgets.
Essential
Qualifications - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
Knowledge - Working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and legislation.
Skills - Excellent numeracy, literacy, ICT, organisational and time management skills
Experience - Experience developing and managing administrative systems
Other - Ability to relate well to children and adults; work independently; and commit to continuous professional development.
Desirable
Skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.
Experience - Experience using Google Workspace, including Google Drive
