Paid Media Manager – Credit Knowledge
Salary: £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience
Start date: ASAP
Main brand: CreditKnowledge.co.uk
Location: Manchester: Office based 3/4 days per week
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Paid Media Manager to lead the acquisition strategy for Credit Knowledge.
Your primary responsibility will be to generate high-quality traffic, customer growth and revenue through paid search, social media and emerging AI-led marketing channels. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how to build, manage and scale profitable campaigns—not simply generate clicks.
You will take ownership of campaign performance, budgets, tracking and optimisation, working closely with our marketing, development, compliance and commercial teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage the paid acquisition strategy for Credit Knowledge.
- Build, manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns across search, display, Performance Max and remarketing.
- Manage paid social campaigns across relevant platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and others where commercially appropriate.
- Identify opportunities through AI search, AI-assisted campaign management and emerging acquisition channels.
- Generate qualified traffic, registrations and revenue against agreed CPA, ROAS and profitability targets.
- Conduct keyword, audience, competitor and market research.
- Create and test campaign messaging, adverts, landing pages and customer journeys.
- Manage campaign budgets and allocate spend based on performance and commercial returns.
- Ensure accurate tracking through GA4, Google Tag Manager and internal reporting systems.
- Monitor the full conversion journey from initial click through to registration, application and revenue.
- Produce clear weekly and monthly performance reporting covering spend, traffic, conversions, CPA, revenue and ROAS.
- Work with developers and designers to improve landing-page conversion rates.
- Ensure campaigns and advertising copy meet financial-services and internal compliance requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes across Google, paid social platforms, AI search and digital advertising.
Essential experience
- A proven track record of delivering successful SEM and paid-search campaigns.
- Demonstrable experience managing and optimising meaningful Google Ads budgets.
- Strong commercial understanding of CPA, CPL, conversion rate, ROAS and profitability.
- Experience using Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager and related reporting platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions based on performance data.
- Experience with conversion tracking, attribution and landing-page optimisation.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver against clear commercial targets.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing budgets, tracking and regulated advertising claims.
Desirable experience
- Experience within fintech, financial services, credit cards, loans, comparison websites or affiliate marketing.
- Understanding of FCA financial-promotion requirements, Consumer Duty and compliance-led marketing.
- Experience generating traffic through Meta Ads and other paid-social platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO, AI search optimisation and emerging AI-led acquisition channels.
- Experience with CRM, email remarketing and customer-retention campaigns.
- Experience working with development teams to improve funnels and conversion tracking.
What success looks like
- Sustainable growth in qualified traffic and registrations.
- Increased revenue from paid acquisition.
- Campaigns delivered within agreed CPA and ROAS targets.
- Accurate end-to-end tracking and transparent reporting.
- Continuous improvement in conversion rates and commercial performance.
- Identification and testing of new, scalable acquisition channels.
About you
You will be commercially minded, analytical and proactive, with the confidence to take full ownership of paid acquisition. You will understand that success is measured by customer satisfaction and revenue—not impressions or clicks alone.
You should be comfortable working at pace, testing new ideas and being accountable for measurable results.
