Help launch Southwold's brand-new community gym
We're looking for an enthusiastic, people-focused Gym Manager to lead the launch of Southwold Gym, an exciting new community fitness centre based at The Old Hospital in Southwold.
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. Rather than stepping into an established gym, you'll play a key role in shaping every aspect of the member experience, helping create a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone feels they belong.
If you're passionate about fitness, enjoy building relationships, and want your work to have a genuine impact on your community, we'd love to hear from you.
About Us
The Old Hospital was created following a community campaign to save Southwold and Reydon's former hospital from demolition. Today, it's a thriving community hub, home to affordable housing, Southwold Library, and The Canteen – our nationally recognised community café.
Southwold Gym is the next chapter in our journey, providing affordable, accessible fitness opportunities that improve physical and mental wellbeing for local people of all ages.

- Recruit, support and motivate staff and instructors.

- Help grow membership and develop new opportunities as the gym evolves.
About You

- Friendly, approachable and passionate about helping people.
- An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills.

- Fitness, leisure or gym management.
- Managing or supervising a small team.
- Sales or membership growth.

Don't meet every requirement? We'd still encourage you to apply. We're looking for the right person as much as the perfect CV.
