Order Picker (Full Time)
David Musson Fencing Ltd is a family-run business founded in 1981 to supply fencing materials, landscaping materials, drainage and more to the local area and nationwide. As a company with many years of experience in the fencing industry, we always strive to give a good service to our customers by offering quality products at very competitive prices.
We are now recruiting for an Order Picker; the ideal person will have experience within the builders' merchants/timber-merchant sector in a yard or warehouse environment. A FLT license would be an advantage.
As an Order picker your role will involve manual handling as well as using equipment to load and unload DMF vehicles & customers vehicles, interacting with customers and making sure they are satisfied, and ensuring the yard is kept presented to a high standard. There is always a variety of jobs and plenty to do so it is important that the candidate can use initiative and is able to manage their time efficiently. This is a full-time dynamic position.
Working Hours are:
- Week 1 - Monday to Friday
- Week 2 - Monday to Friday & Saturday Morning
Order pickers responsibilities and Duties:
- Picking orders.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Checking stock & orders.
- Storing stock safely.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
- Manual handling tasks.
- Stock taking.
- Tele Truck licence an advantage.
- Builders’ merchant / timber-merchant industry knowledge.
You will be working within a close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis, so we are looking for someone that:

- Has excellent customer service.
- Is hard working.
- Has a positive attitude.
- Has good attention to detail (Reading, Writing & Counting is essential!).
- Is prepared to work outside in all weathers.
Full time position up to 50 hours per week - shorter hour weeks (up to 35 hours) potentially available to suit the right candidate.
