Female Cantonese-Speaking Carer Support Worker (Part-Time)Location: Queensway, London W2 (Zone 1)
Working hours: Between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm
Shift length: 2–10 hours per visit
Work location: In person, client’s home
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and extroverted Cantonese-speaking female caregiver to provide part-time, in-home care for an elderly lady living with dementia. This role is highly interactive and best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys engaging, motivating, and uplifting others.
Due to the client’s personal care needs and preferences, this role requires a female caregiver.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage the client through conversation, interaction, and companionship
- Deliver sensory stimulation activities to support cognitive and emotional wellbeing
- Carry out contracture prevention, mobility support, and physiotherapy-style exercises as guided
- Encourage participation in daily routines and meaningful activities
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, bathing, toileting, and dressing
- Prepare meals and drinks and assist with feeding
- Prompt and administer medication
- Support safe mobility with the assistance of another carer
- Provide consistent emotional reassurance and positivity
- Help create a happy, calm, and supportive atmosphere for everyone in the client’s home
- Build warm, respectful relationships with the client, family members, and colleagues
- Assist with light household tasks to maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment
About You
You are:
- Naturally extroverted, cheerful, and emotionally intuitive
- Confident engaging clients in activities, conversation, and movement
- Passionate about dementia care and quality of life
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful in a home setting
- A strong communicator with good social awareness
- Flexible and reliable with working hours
Requirements
- Fluent Cantonese speaker (essential)
- Previous experience caring for elderly clients with dementia preferred
- Experience with sensory activities, movement exercises, or contracture prevention is highly desirable
- Aged 18 or over with the right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by the employer)
- Positive references from previous employers preferred
- Ability to travel to work independently

主要工作內容
透過對話、互動及陪伴積極與長者交流
提供感官刺激活動，促進認知及情緒健康
協助進行防止關節攣縮、活動能力及物理治療相關練習
鼓勵長者參與日常生活及有意義的活動
提供個人護理（個人衛生、洗澡、如廁、穿衣）
準備餐點及飲品，並協助餵食
提醒及協助服藥
在另一名看護協助下支援安全活動及走動
提供穩定的情緒支持與正面能量
為客戶家中營造開心、安心及正面的生活氛圍
與客戶、家屬及其他工作人員建立良好及互相尊重的關係
協助簡單家務，維持舒適及整潔的居住環境

職位要求
必須流利使用廣東話
有照顧癡呆症長者經驗者優先
有感官活動、肢體運動或防止關節攣縮經驗者尤佳
年滿 18 歲並具英國合法工作資格
需通過加強版 DBS 無犯罪紀錄審查（由僱主支付）
具前僱主良好推薦信者優先
