An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate football enthusiast looking to break into the football media industry and join our media team at Sutton United Football Club.
Sutton United Men’s 1st team currently competes in the MFL Premier league on step 5 of the English Football pyramid. They also participate in the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Vase.
Alongside the first team, the club operates a thriving development pathway with teams from u7s to U21s. plus a thriving senior section. In addition, we have a growing women’s section. The club’s ladies currently sit top of the West Midlands Regional League 1st Division and are through to the first round qualifying in the FA Cup.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will operate club’s first-team Men’s and ladies media activities while also having opportunities to contribute across other areas of the club.
The role will focus on leading matchday communications feed on X, alongside Facebook and Instagram, during both home and away fixtures, including cup competitions.
Responsibilities may vary from match to match but could include:
- Delivering live matchday updates across social media platforms
- Filming and editing video content for the club’s YouTube channel and social media channels
- Producing written content, including match reports, previews and feature articles
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the club website and social media platforms
- Assisting with media and communications activity across all club teams including it’s thriving entertainment programme.
Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for football and media.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be available for first-team fixtures, predominantly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and occasional Tuesday evenings)
- Be willing to learn and gain practical, hands-on experience
- Possess good Social Media communication skills
- Work effectively as part of a team
