TheCampBox Ltd designs tailor-made trips across Scotland under two brands, Kilt et Licorne (French market) and The Kilted Unicorn (English-speaking market). We're a team of six employees and two self-employed collaborators, based at 80 George Street in the heart of Edinburgh.
We're looking for someone who can do two things well: design beautiful trips from a desk in winter, and take our clients out on the road in summer.
WHAT THE YEAR LOOKS LIKE
November to March - Travel Planner, office based
You handle client enquiries end to end: qualifying the brief, building bespoke itineraries, quoting, closing the sale, booking accommodation and activities, and producing the personalised travel documents.
April to October - Guide/Driver and project follow-up
You take small groups (8 people maximum) on multi-day tours in our vehicles, one to two tours a month at most. You also run day excursions departing from and returning to Edinburgh, and walking tours in the city. The rest of the time you're back at the office on client files and trip design.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Fluent French (our core market) and fluent English (suppliers, and our growing English-speaking clientele)
- Proven experience in the travel industry
- Strong knowledge of Scotland: geography, history, culture
- Full UK driving licence, Category B. Our fleet insurance requires drivers to be 25 or over
- Right to work in the UK (Settled Status, Pre-Settled Status or valid work visa)
- Commercial instinct, administrative rigour, and the kind of personality clients remember
