Front of House Assistants / Ushers
Faskally Safety Leadership Centre, SSE Ruthvenfield Way, Perth, PH1 3UF
Active Training Team Ltd, Casual / Freelance
About us:
Active Training Team Ltd delivers immersive, experiential training to drive behavioural change. The Faskally Safety Leadership Centre in Scotland is a purpose‑built facility delivering theatre‑based one‑day inductions focused on safety leadership, using production, media and immersive methods.
The role:
We're looking for Front of House team members to be a friend face for our participants. You'll help set the tone for the day - professional, warm and welcoming - whilst keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll get hands-on behind the scene: resetting the set, moving chairs and tables and doing some cueing and radio work as part of the day's flow.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety - part hosting, part backstage - and doesn't mind mixing people-facing with practical tasks. It's a great fit for anyone with a theatre or event background.
What you'll be doing:
- Greet and looking after participants and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
- Support registration, orientation and general enquiries
- Supporting cast and prop set-up, and helping guide participants through the day
- Monitor participant comfort, safety and wellbeing during their visit
- Keeping front-of-house and participant areas tidy and welcoming
- Bringing ATT's values of professionalism, inclusivity and care to life
Hours & Contract:
- Casual / Freelance basis
- Shift times typically 07:45 – 17:15 (half‑day: 6hrs) or (full‑day: 9.5hrs)
- Rota published monthly - flexible scheduling, with assignments depending on demand
Pay:
- Training rate - £13.15p/hr
- Full rate - £14.15p/hr
What we're looking for
Essential:
- A friendly, confident, approachable manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with some physical activity - moving furniture and set pieces
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to participant safety and comfort
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in front‑of‑house, hospitality or events roles
- Familiarity with radio communication or cueing in a live event setting
- Interest in learning, behavioural safety or immersive experiences
