Job Summary
In the role of a Trainer/Assessor, you will be delivering front-line services to our clients, based on their training requirements and needs. As this is a customer facing role, you will be expected to promote a professional and positive image of Citrus Training, always in both appearance and behaviour.

Applicants should be based within 1 hour from our Dagenham training centre.
Responsibilities
- Provide learners with training at a level to suit their needs and abilities;
- Identify delegates’ additional support requirements;
- Keep up to date with current legislation and industry best practice methods;
- Undertake all necessary preparation and administration associated with the training and assessment role;
- Provide appropriate learning support to enable effective learning to your delegates;
- Participate in the planning, development, and improvement of course programmes;
- Offer advice and support for all candidates to assist them in meeting their goals;
- Participate in centre devised professional development activities.
Skills
Education/Certification – must hold at least one of the following qualifications:
- NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK)
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health
- Level 3 (S)NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health
- Level 4 Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK)
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Diploma Safety Management Level 6
- NCRQ in Occupational Health and Safety level 6.
- There may be additional trainer requirements for delivery of specialist course, e.g. SEATS;
- A formal teaching/training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in education and training (AET) or CITB recognized exemption;
- For new trainers, a current certificate at or above the level of the SSP course the trainer is delivering must have been achieved
Person:
- Excellent people skills and customer/delegate focused;
- Maintaining integrity and honesty in all interactions and assessments;
- Provide clear, concise instructions and explanations;
- Being flexible and creative in finding ways to helps trainees understand difficult concepts;
- Demonstrating safe practices consistently and leading by example;
- Leading training sessions with confidence and authority;
- Comfortable in delivering courses virtually and in a classroom;
- Full clean driving license.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours as travel to and from training venues, some overnight stays will be required to fulfil the role.
Salary: Competitive and subject to experience
