This is a full-time, on-site role working alongside our experienced Utility Surveyors. As a Trainee Utility Surveyor, you'll assist with day-to-day survey work while learning the skills needed to carry out utility surveys independently.
Your day-to-day duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with utility and GPR surveys on a variety of sites while learning the skills required.
- Setting up and operating EML and GPR surveying equipment.
- Recording survey information and site observations.
- Assisting with manual handling and general site duties.
- Supporting senior surveyors throughout the survey process.
We work across the UK, so occasional travel and overnight stays will be required. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. Hotel accommodation is fully covered by us, and you'll receive an uplift in pay when working away.
This role is ideal for someone with little or no previous experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the surveying industry. Through our in-house training program, you'll have the opportunity to progress to Surveyor, Senior Surveyor and beyond as your experience grows.

Essential requirements
- Full UK driving license.
- Good organizational skills.
- Comfortable using technology and keen to learn new systems.
Desirable (but not essential)
These can be taught through our training program.
- Previous construction experience.
- CSCS Card.
- Basic understanding of utility surveying.
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge.
- Experience using EML and GPR surveying equipment.
