Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar programmes
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial management or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
- Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Prior experience mentoring or training team members is desirable
- Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements
