We are looking for a fully qualified Electrician to join our reactive team. The ideal candidate will be based in or around the Stoke/Birmingham area and will respond to electrical faults and breakdowns across residential and commercial properties, diagnosing and repairing issues quickly and safely to keep disruption to a minimum. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, works well under pressure and represents the company professionally on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance calls and electrical breakdowns across residential and commercial properties
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime and disruption to clients
- Carry out first and second fix electrical works, including replacing faulty components, wiring, accessories and consumer units
- Complete emergency and priority repairs within agreed response time and SLA targets
- Participate in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours emergency callout cover on a scheduled basis
- Accurately complete job cards, worksheets and reports for every callout, recording work carried out, materials used and time on site
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, tenants, site managers and other trades, keeping them updated on progress
- Identify and report additional remedial or follow-on works required, escalating to the office or client as appropriate
- Maintain van stock and manage your workload efficiently by liaising with our Customer Service and Management teams
- Follow site-specific RAMS and comply with CDM 2015 and site safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at all times
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), current
- Proven experience in reactive or breakdown maintenance electrical work
- Valid CSCS/ECS card (Gold Card preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a range of installations
- Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage your own workload independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Willingness to participate in an on-call/callout rota
