Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Stable Hand/Groom to join our stables. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the daily care, maintenance, and overall well-being of our heavy horses. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our animals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with heavy horses while contributing to the upkeep of our equestrian facilities.
Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and groom horses and other livestock regularly to maintain their health and cleanliness
- Clean stalls, paddocks, and barn areas efficiently to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist with the daily handling of horses during exercise, grooming, and veterinary procedures
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as wheelbarrows, grooming tools, and stable fixtures
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs around the stables or fencing as needed
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, feeding schedules, and health observations
- Support with irrigation systems for pasture or garden areas to promote healthy growth
- Conduct basic mechanical inspections of equipment and perform simple repairs or report issues promptly

Wednesday - Thursday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 8:30am - 1:30pm

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
