Shape the future of our people. Influence the future of our business.
At Ascenti Group, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK's leading provider of physiotherapy, mental health and government assessment services, we support thousands of people every day to live fuller lives.
Behind that success is a passionate, ambitious and collaborative People Team that works in true partnership with our business leaders to drive performance, develop talent and create an exceptional colleague experience.
We are now looking for an experienced People Partner to act as a senior leader in our People Team and play a pivotal role in supporting one of our Business Units.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing People Team as a trusted People Partner, working closely with leaders to support day-to-day people matters while helping to build high-performing teams and deliver positive business outcomes.
You'll work across a broad range of operational and strategic people activities, partnering with managers to provide practical advice, coaching and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
About the role
You'll immerse yourself in the business, understanding its priorities, operational challenges and future ambitions, ensuring every people decision contributes to business success.
Working closely with the Group People Director and business leaders, you'll provide expert HR support across the full employee lifecycle, coaching managers, leading employee relations activity and helping to deliver people initiatives that support engagement, performance and organisational growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role where your ability to influence, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships will be just as important as your technical HR expertise.
What you will be doing
As our People Partner, you will:
-
Partner directly with the Managing Director and leadership team to develop and deliver a people strategy aligned to business objectives.
-
Influence senior leaders through coaching, challenge and commercially focused people advice.
-
Lead organisational change, transformation and business improvement initiatives.
-
Identify people-related risks and opportunities using data, insight and commercial understanding.
-
Lead and develop a team of People professionals, creating a high-performing, collaborative and customer-focused culture.
-
Oversee complex Employee Relations matters, providing strategic guidance on high-risk cases including organisational change, TUPE and Employment Tribunals.
-
Drive leadership capability, talent development, engagement and retention initiatives across your Business Unit.
-
Champion continuous improvement, ensuring people processes are efficient, scalable and focused on delivering exceptional service.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Talent Acquisition, Payroll and the wider People Team to deliver seamless support to the business.
-
What we are looking for
You will be an experienced People professional who enjoys operating as a genuine business partner rather than simply providing HR advice. You will bring:
-
Significant experience operating as an HR Business Partner or People Partner within a complex organisation.
-
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate business priorities into people solutions.
-
Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
-
Proven experience supporting senior leaders through organisational change and transformation.
-
Strong Employee Relations expertise, including complex case management.
-
A data-led and commercially focused approach to decision making.
-
The confidence to challenge constructively whilst building trusted relationships.
-
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
-
Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), or equivalent professional experience.
Experience within healthcare, operational, multi-site or service-led organisations would be advantageous but is not essential.
