Are you currently unemployed and looking to start or develop your career in hospitality?
Step Ahead is offering a FREE 2-week Hospitality Bootcamp linked directly to real vacancies with established hospitality employers in Central London.
No previous hospitality experience is required for many of the opportunities. Employers are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, reliability, good communication skills and, most importantly, a genuine desire to work and develop within hospitality.
Candidates who are suitable for the available opportunities will receive a guaranteed interview with the relevant employer.
Employer 1 – Contemporary London Restaurant Group
Join a dynamic London restaurant group known for creative seasonal food, sustainability, exceptional service and a fun, modern working culture.
The employer is open to entry-level candidates and is particularly interested in people who are enthusiastic about hospitality and keen to learn and develop.
Current vacancies:
- Kitchen Assistant – £13.50 per hour (basic + tronc)
- Commis Chef – £13 per hour (basic + tronc)
- Commis Waiter – £13.50 per hour (basic + tronc)
- Polisher – £13.50 per hour (basic + tronc)
No previous experience is required.
Candidates must have full flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends. Shifts are rotated to give team members a fair opportunity to have some evenings and weekends off.
Employer 2 – Central London Hotel & Events Venue
Work within a distinctive Central London hotel and events environment offering accommodation, dining and events and welcoming a wide range of guests throughout the year.
The employer is open to entry-level candidates who can demonstrate the right transferable skills, attitude, communication, teamwork and flexibility.
Current vacancies:
Room Attendant
- 40 hours per week
- Permanent contract
- 5 days out of 7
- Previous housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential
Public Areas Cleaner
- 40 hours per week
- Maintaining cleanliness across public areas, toilets, lounges, meeting rooms, offices and guest/staff areas
- Flexibility around working hours is required
Food & Beverage Assistant
- 20 hours per week
- Previous F&B experience is preferred but not essential
- Food Safety Level 2 is preferred
- Candidates must be comfortable working shifts, weekends and occasional nights
All three hotel opportunities pay at least the London Living Wage.
What You'll Get From the Bootcamp
Over two weeks, you'll receive hospitality-focused training designed to help you develop the skills, confidence and knowledge employers are looking for.
You'll also receive employment and interview preparation to get you ready to meet the employers.
If your skills, availability and suitability match one or more of the available vacancies, you'll receive a guaranteed interview with the relevant employer.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be aged 19+
- Live in London
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be currently unemployed
- Be available to attend the full 2 weeks of online training
- Be interested in securing employment within hospitality
- Be able to travel to Central London for work
- Have the flexibility to work the shifts required for your chosen role
