Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Part Time Driver to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans or commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated destinations
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel usage
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation of all shipments
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
Qualifications
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations
- Experience operating vans or similar vehicles in a professional setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages when required
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and inventory management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; appropriate commercial driving license preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning
