1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Full-time | West London | September 2026
Could you be the person who helps a creative young person make the most of college life and become more independent?
We are looking for a warm, proactive and perceptive person to provide 1:1 support to a bright and ambitious young wheelchair user studying at a specialist creative media college in West London.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with one student and make a genuine difference to her college experience, while gaining valuable experience in SEND, accessibility, assistive technology and independence support within a creative environment.
The role includes:
- Providing 1:1 support throughout the college day
- Supporting mobility, physical access and use of assistive technology
- Helping the student access learning and studio-based environments
- Encouraging independence and knowing when to help and when to step back
- Working with teaching staff, therapists and family to provide consistent support
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm, perceptive and a practical problem-solver
- Confident with technology and willing to learn music production software and hardware
- Reliable, proactive and able to build a positive, professional relationship with a young person
- Interested in supporting young people to develop confidence and independence
Experience in education is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from graduates and those with experience supporting young people with SEND or physical disabilities.
Full training will be provided by the student’s physiotherapist and occupational therapist, including guidance on physical needs, postural management and therapy programmes.
An interest in music or the creative industries would be an advantage.
£500 per week PAYE equivalent | 32.5 hours per week | Term-time
