This is a part time seasonal role up to the beginning of November 2026
10-15 hours per week depending on workload.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing excellent service to both pets and their owners. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Ability to work weekends essential.
Must be local as morning and afternoon shifts required
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including cleaning and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for cleaning tasks and moving animals safely.
Experience
- Prior experience in animal care is preferred but not essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is crucial.
- Own transportation essential as the business is not on a bus route
- Able to reliably work alone and as part of a team
