Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our automotive service team on either a part time or full time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles including class 7 , ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections in accordance with MOT testing regulations.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on various vehicle makes and models.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and servicing.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and ensure documentation complies with legal standards.
- Assist in identifying potential mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently within specified timeframes while adhering to safety protocols.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or MOT tester is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties.
- Previous experience conducting MOT tests is highly desirable but not mandatory if willing to undertake training.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.
- Valid MOT testing licence (or willingness to obtain one through training).

Pay: £26,327.88-£40,722.92 per year
