Altech Engineering Limited is a subcontract sheet metal fabrication and engineering company based in Bolney, West Sussex. We are looking for a hard-working and reliable Sheet Metal Assembly Fitter to join our team.
This is a hands-on role working within our manufacturing environment, assembling a range of sheet metal components and finished products to our customer specifications. Prior experience of the roles is not necessary and training will be provided for the right candidate.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
· Assembling sheet metal components and products
· Reading and working from engineering drawings
· Using hand tools, power tools and general workshop equipment
· Drilling, tapping, riveting and fastening components
· Fitting hinges, brackets, fixings and other hardware
· Checking finished assemblies for quality and accuracy
· Working to production schedules and customer requirements
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
· Working as part of a small, friendly and experienced engineering team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
· Interested in sheet metal assembly and keen to work in an engineering environment
· Comfortable reading and understanding engineering drawings
· Practical, methodical and quality-conscious
· Confident using hand and power tools
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable, hardworking and keen to take pride in their work
Training can be provided for the right candidate with a good practical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm - 40 hours per week
