About the Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and education for children within our setting. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will help create a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children.
- Building warm, positive relationships with children and their families.
- Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning opportunities.
- Supporting children's individual development and wellbeing.
- Observing, assessing and recording children's progress.
- Maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Working in partnership with colleagues to deliver outstanding childcare.
- Promoting safeguarding, health and wellbeing at all times.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about early years education and child development.
- Has a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children to learn through play.
- Is kind, caring and patient.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is reliable, motivated and keen to contribute positively to the nursery.
- Takes pride in providing exceptional care and learning experiences.
Essential Requirements
- SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) or Early Learning & Childcare (or recognised equivalent).
- Previous experience working within an early years setting.
- Ability to register (or already registered) with the SSSC.
- Ability to obtain PVG Scheme membership.
