Hours: Monday–Friday, typically 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with overtime during peak and when deliveries land later
Start: ASAP — needed before the Q4 peak
Company overview
We are a well-established eCommerce company based in the North East. We operate from an 11,000 sq ft warehouse in NE29 and are preparing for a busy Q4.
Role overview
This is an inbound role. You will own goods-in from the moment a delivery arrives until stock is checked, labelled and put away in the correct location.
Accurate inbound is how we keep fulfilment moving during peak.
Key responsibilities
Unload incoming deliveries using a fork lift, pallet stackers and pallet trucks.
Check deliveries against purchase orders or delivery notes and report shortages, over-deliveries and damage immediately.
Label stock and put it away in the correct warehouse location — nothing sits on the floor without a home.
Keep the inbound and staging area clear, safe and organised.
Update stock records as directed (full training given).
Support occasional pick/pack only when inbound is under control.
Work safely around racking, pallet movements and other warehouse traffic.
What we are looking for
Valid forklift licence.
Previous goods-in, warehouse or stock-control experience — ideally 1 year+.
Strong attention to detail. Wrong putaway creates problems for the whole building.
Able to work independently and keep a queue of deliveries moving.
Comfortable with basic computer or handheld scanner use.
Physically able to handle warehouse work, including palletised goods.
Right to work in the UK.
