Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Assistant Accountant is a key member of the finance team and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Perform reconciliations for bank, control, and intercompany accounts
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with other tax-related reporting
- Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation during year-end audit
- Assist in improving financial processes and implementing internal controls
- Provide financial insight and support to operational teams across the park.
- Assist with processing and reconciling company Payroll as well as helping to deal with HMRC and pension queries.
- Carry out any reasonable management requests or ad hoc duties
Qualifications
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA or similar
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounts role
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software (e.g. Sage Payroll, Xero, QuickBooks)

- Strong IT skills, including Excel & word, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
