Live-In Hotel Team Member
Housekeeping | Reception | On-Call Night Cover
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and flexible Live-In Team Member to join our team at our limited-service hotel.
This is a varied, hands-on position ideally suited to someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in looking after guests and is happy to turn their hand to different duties as required.
The Role
As a Live-In Team Member, you will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the hotel, helping us provide a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard
- Cleaning and maintaining hotel public areas
- Reporting any maintenance issues
- Welcoming guests and providing a friendly and professional reception service
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
- Handling guest enquiries and providing local information
- Carrying out general reception and administrative duties
- Providing on-call night cover on agreed nights
- Responding to genuine guest emergencies or urgent issues overnight when required
- Following hotel security, fire safety and emergency procedures
- Working flexibly with the wider team to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys dealing with guests
- Reliable, responsible and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of duties
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Calm and sensible when dealing with unexpected situations
- Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Comfortable using computers and basic hotel/reception systems
Previous hotel, housekeeping or customer service experience would be an advantage, although full training can be provided for the right person.
Live-In Accommodation
This position comes with live-in accommodation, making it particularly suitable for someone looking to combine their employment and accommodation in one location.
The successful candidate will work an agreed rota covering housekeeping and reception duties and will also participate in an agreed on-call night rota. On-call responsibilities are primarily to ensure that guests have access to assistance in the event of an urgent issue or emergency outside normal reception hours.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
