Key Details
- Part-Time employment, 10-12.5 hours per week (with the potential for additional hours)
- Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, term-time only
- After-School Club: 15:00-17:30
- Potential for additional Breakfast Club hours
- Pay: £14.46 – £15.13 per hour (including holiday pay and dependant on experience)
- Minimum Age: Applicants must be 18+ (Due to the nature of this role and our safeguarding and insurance obligations)
- FREE places for your own children (if we provide wraparound care at their school)
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Childcare Assistant to join our team at All Saints Primary School in Netheravon and help deliver a warm, nurturing and engaging environment for primary-aged children after school.
Working closely with the Childcare Lead, you will support the daily running of the after-school wraparound provision, helping to create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable space where children can relax, play and develop. You’ll get involved in setting up activities, supporting behaviour routines, engaging children in creative play, and ensuring a high standard of care throughout each session.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Childcare Lead with the set-up, delivery and pack-down of sessions
- Help create a warm, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all children
- Engage children in a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities (e.g., games, crafts, creative play)
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff and colleagues
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of all children in the club
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and behaviour policies at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children (paid or voluntary)
- A caring, positive and can‑do attitude
- Someone dependable, approachable and happy to get stuck in
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- A relevant childcare, play work or teaching assistant qualification (desirable, but not essential)
- An interest or background in sport (desirable, but not essential)
- Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding qualifications (desirable — training can be provided)
- The ability to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate
