About the Role
We're looking for a passionate and reliable Front of house to join the team to join both teams at Ground up
This role is perfect for someone who feels comfortable talking to people, being around people and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This role would be ideal for a school/college student looking for their first job, however we will consider applications from all aplicants.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Deliver a warm, friendly and professional welcome to every customer.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times, creating a positive dining experience.
- Take customer orders accurately in person, by telephone and through online ordering systems.
- Answer customer questions regarding the menu, ingredients and allergens.
- Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues where possible and escalating when required.
- Build rapport with regular customers and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
Food & Beverage Service
- Serve food and drinks promptly and accurately.
- Check orders before handing them to customers to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks where required.
- Monitor collection and takeaway orders to ensure they leave complete and on time.
- Maintain presentation standards for food packaging and drinks.
Cash Handling & Till Operation
- Operate the EPOS/till system efficiently.
- Process cash, card and contactless payments accurately.
- Balance cash drawer procedures as instructed.
- Promote current offers and upsell menu items where appropriate.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Follow all Food Safety and HACCP procedures.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene standards.
- Ensure workstations, counters and customer areas remain clean and sanitised.
- Follow allergen procedures and never guess ingredient information.
- Rotate stock using FIFO principles where applicable.
Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Keep the front counter clean and fully stocked.
- Clear and clean customer seating areas regularly.
- Refill condiments, napkins, cutlery and takeaway packaging.
- Complete daily and closing cleaning schedules.
- Dispose of waste correctly and recycle where appropriate.
Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Support colleagues during busy periods.
- Assist with stock deliveries and storage.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Health & Safety
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
- Report hazards, accidents or equipment faults immediately.
- Use equipment safely and according to training.
- Follow fire evacuation and emergency procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually and in the correct uniform.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Be flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required.
- Protect company property and confidential information.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the management team.

Working Hours
- Variable every week, flexible work schedule based on college/uni timetable can be arranged.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Working days would mainly be Wednesday to Sunday.
