NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an experienced Consultant in Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia to join the team at the Royal Hospital for Children (RHC), Glasgow.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician looking to work within a highly specialised paediatric cardiac environment, alongside experienced cardiac anaesthetic consultants and a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding care to children and young people.

Based at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow

Join a team of 5 experienced cardiac anaesthetic Consultants
-
1 in 6 on-call commitment, providing cover for cardiac surgical and cardiology emergencies

Exposure to both paediatric cardiac and general theatres

Work alongside advanced paediatric anaesthesia trainees, post-CCT Fellows and specialty trainees

Collaborative multidisciplinary working within a well-established specialist service

Excellent opportunities to contribute to teaching, training and service development
We are looking for a Consultant with significant previous paediatric cardiac anaesthetic experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality care within a complex and rewarding clinical environment.
You must be eligible for full GMC registration and either:

Already be on the GMC Specialist Register, or

Be within 6 months of receiving your CCT at the time of interview.
This is more than a Consultant appointment; it is an opportunity to join an established specialist service, work alongside experienced colleagues and play an important role in the delivery of paediatric cardiac care across the West of Scotland.
