Sprint Express UK Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a Monday to Friday position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient transport operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our fleet, ensuring that all transport activities are carried out in accordance with current legislation, operator licence obligations and company procedures while maintaining high levels of operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily running of the transport operation.
- Supervise and support drivers, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with DVSA regulations, operator licence undertakings and all relevant transport legislation.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, preventative inspections and MOT planning.
- Oversee drivers' hours, tachograph compliance and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Maintain accurate transport records and promote a culture of safety, efficiency and continuous compliance.
Essential Requirements
- Valid International Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Previous experience as a Transport Manager or in a similar transport compliance role.
- Excellent knowledge of UK transport legislation, operator licensing and regulatory compliance.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage compliance proactively.
