Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients. This role requires a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and planning, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying them to appointments or outings.
- Maintain a clean and organised living space by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving or home assistance role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a home setting is advantageous.
- A valid driving license is required for transportation purposes.
